President designate vows to implement 'Mahinda Chinthana'.

The new President designate, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, has vowed to implement his presidential manifesto, 'Mahinda Chinthana', and urges people to support his vision of building a new Sri Lanka.
Addressing the media just after the Election Commissioner's official announcement today, the ruling party candidate, who recorded a slim majority in the just-concluded election, said he would ensure a democratic nation with social justice.
“Frankly, I contested in this election to build a better Sri Lanka. For that I need everyone’s support,” a delighted Mr. Rajapaksa said.
