    Prime Minister launches his Presidential manifesto

    The ruling party Presidential hopeful Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has revealed his Presidential manifesto this morning in Colombo. Addressing the gathering, Premier Rajapaksa said he would lead the country based on four principles in the next six years if elected at the next presidential election.

    ``I strongly believe in achieving peace without going to war,'' he said in his speech at the manifesto launching ceremony. He added that he would protect the country's unity, sovereignty and security and preserve the civil rights of all groups.

    “I am totally refuses the concept of traditional homelands. Sri Lanka is a traditional homeland for every Sri Lankan,” he said. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has presented his Presidential manifesto to the religious leaders and to the other political party leaders.

    Mahinda's Vision for the Country:
    CHANGE Sri Lanka to be a Modern State whilst Fostering the National Heritage and Culture with Peaceful Co-existence among the Communities of Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and others, instilling Economic Growth and Prosperity; and Maintaining Friendly Relationship with all Nations.
